What is the Motability Scheme
The scheme provides an affordable, worry-free way for people with disabilities to lease a car in exchange for their mobility allowance. Cars can be adapted depending on the customers' requirements and motorists can supplement the allowance towards a new car if they wish. You can name up to two named drivers for your vehicle, and you get to choose a brand new car every 3 years.
Who can join?
Anybody who qualifies for the higher rate Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and has at least 12 months remaining can apply to join the Motability Scheme. If you don’t currently receive a higher rate Disability Living Allowance, you can apply to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and, if successful, exchange this for a Motability Scheme vehicle.
Scheme Benefits:
All-inclusive package
The all-inclusive Motability Scheme package includes insurance cover for up to three drivers, all your service, MOT, and routine repair costs, plus breakdown cover through the RAC.
Charging support
To assist those that may not already have a home charging point, you will receive a half-price Pod-Point 7kw Tethered Home Charger~ or a Solo 7kw Universal Home Charger~ when choosing the Mazda CX-60 Plug-in Hybrid.
Adaptations
For those that require certain vehicle adaptations such as hand controls or wheelchair hoists, you can select these when ordering your Mazda and these will be pre-installed ready for when you collect your vehicle
